What are the benefits of sole custody?

Sole custody is not handed out by courts as often as joint custody. However, when it is, it's often because of issues like abuse, mental disorders, or dependence on drugs or alcohol. In essence, the court is trying to protect the child by keeping him or her out of a dangerous situation. One parent may seem unfit to raise a child, while the other is not.

Woman arrested after deadly hit-and-run

A woman from West Monroe was allegedly involved in a deadly hit-and-run accident, and police have now arrested her. She is 46 years old, and she's been put in the Ouachita Correctional Center. The charges against her include the hit-and-run and negligent homicide. She's facing felony charges.

Are older drivers at high risk for deadly accidents?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention notes that, when looking at the number of deadly crashes per miles driven, the involvement rate starts going up when drivers hit age 70. This continues through age 74 and then reaches its peak when drivers are 85 years old and older.
