Study says Louisiana drivers among the nation's rudest

A study was carried out to see where the rudest drivers were located, and it put Louisiana in the top five.

That's a brutal ranking, and the man who did the study was asked what he was looking for and how he determined that drivers in the state were so rude.

He said that the survey was carried out in every state in the nation. In each state, they found a full 2,000 people and asked them questions about how they drove and how they felt about other drivers.

For example, people were asked what they would do if a car came up behind them and started to tailgate them. They were also asked, if a car was trying to merge onto the road, would they let that car go in front of them? If they were changing lanes, would they use their traffic signals?

Those doing the survey didn't have to come up with answers on their own. They were given multiple choices and just had to pick the ones that best fit with their answers. At the end, all of the answers were tallied and graded.

Technically, Louisiana ranked fourth in the nation, meaning just four states had drivers that were ruder while behind the wheel. Those states, in order, were Arkansas, South Carolina and New York.

On its own, this may not be much of a problem, but the issue is that rude drivers often cause tempers to flare, which can lead to road rage and aggressive driving. This can then lead to accidents, and those who are hurt need to know if they have a right to compensation. Clearly, the risks are high in Louisiana.
